Today’s action figure news is a little lighter than the past few days, but there are still a few worthwhile developments to keep on your radar.
The biggest update is a confirmed September 10 pre-order date for McFarlane Toys’ new Plastic Man DC Multiverse figure, with Entertainment Earth among the retailers expected to carry it. Storm Collectibles also has a new Storm Arena Kaioh Retsu 1:12-scale figure, while Bandai Spirits is teasing something new for the 40th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ.

McFarlane Toys’ upcoming Plastic Man DC Multiverse action figure now has a confirmed pre-order date.
Pre-orders are scheduled to open on September 10 at 12:00 PM ET, with Entertainment Earth among the confirmed retailers.

This is one I’d keep a close eye on if you missed the earlier Plastic Man Build-A-Figure.
Plastic Man has never been one of the easiest DC characters to add to a modern 7-inch collection, so a standalone release gives collectors another opportunity without having to assemble an entire Build-A-Figure wave.
The important thing right now is the date: September 10 at noon ET.
Once the Entertainment Earth listing goes live, I’d expect this one to get plenty of attention from collectors who passed on—or never completed—the earlier version.
Storm Arena Kaioh Retsu 1:12 Action Figure Up for Pre-Order
Storm Collectibles is expanding its Storm Arena line with a new Kaioh Retsu 1:12-scale action figure from Baki.
Retsu is priced at just $29 through Storm Collectibles, making this one of the more affordable releases we’ve seen from the company.
The figure includes:
- Two interchangeable head sculpts
- Three pairs of interchangeable hands
- Boxing gloves
- Display stand
Storm’s direct allocation has already sold out, while other specialty retailers have also begun taking orders.

At $29, this is a pretty compelling value for a fully articulated 1:12-scale figure from Storm.
The Storm Arena line has been interesting to watch because it gives collectors a much more accessible entry point than the company’s larger and usually more expensive releases.
If you collect Baki figures, Retsu also gives you another major character to add to the lineup rather than another version of the same fighter.
Bandai Teases Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ 40th Anniversary Tamashii Nations Project
Bandai Spirits and Tamashii Nations have started teasing something new for the 40th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ.
The current teaser simply reads:

That’s all Bandai has confirmed so far.
There is currently no confirmed figure, product line, scale, price, pre-order date or release date, so this is one where I would avoid getting ahead of the announcement.

What makes this worth watching is the anniversary itself.
Tamashii Nations has a wide range of Gundam collector lines, including ROBOT Spirits, METAL BUILD and other premium formats, but Bandai has not confirmed which line this project belongs to yet.
If you collect Gundam ZZ, this could easily turn into a much larger product rollout over the next several months.
For now, put it on the watchlist and wait for the full reveal.
S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Faiz Reissue Available for Pre-Order at Entertainment Earth
Bandai Tamashii Nations’ S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Faiz is getting another release, and U.S. collectors can currently pre-order the figure through Entertainment Earth.
The reissue is priced at $84.99, qualifies for free U.S. shipping, and is currently estimated to arrive in January 2027.

If you collect Kamen Rider or Tamashii Nations’ premium articulated figures, this is a much easier option than relying on an overseas retailer and importing the Japanese release yourself.
